Travelling the Gulf Islands on one of the small ferries is actually a very relaxing day out. On Monday I went to Saturna with Ben so he could check out the Saturna Island Ecological Education Centre.
The Wild Thyme Coffee House on Saturna is very cool. They have repurposed a 50 year old British Leyland double decker bus.
I am used to transferring for transit, but a similar thing happens on weekday afternoons on Mayne Island at the Village Bay ferry terminal
