A very cool victory - Spring Street Park in Los Angeles
A parking lot on South Spring Street in downtown LA is being converted into a park as part of mayor Antonio VIllaraigosa's 50 Parks Initiative. On June 17th this new park was officially opened. By the way, the park has a twitter account.
Previously the site was a parking for about 125 vehicles. A surface parking lot in the centre of LA seems like such a waste.
