today is International Right To Know Day. This is a vital concept and needs more support everywhere. The right to know is one of the major weaknesses of most western countries.
In BC people like Russ Francis and Sean Holman have done a lot for us to know what is going on.
I have done some FOI requests in BC in the past and seen what barriers there can be to getting the information you want.
Openness should be the default and there should be specific justification for anything that is not open to the public.
