I just thought I would post these as people in Vic West seem to not know what the street names mean. My girlfriend lives on one of them.
There is also this interesting piece of public art in Vancouver. Welcome to the Land of Light
The piece is both English and Chinook - the artist, Henry Tsang, has put a long statement in metal plaques on the railings of the seawall in both Chinook and English - I came across it by accident one day. I enjoyed seeing how much of the Chinook I could read and how if the English translation was close.
